Q:Can the Fsc calculator do scientific or financial calculations

A:The calculator should be capable of doing virtually any calculation.


Q:What operating system does the Fsc calculator run on.

A: The calculator runs from Windows, directly from the Cpu in native code, triggered by DOS, it utilises the Windows directory (folder) system for certain operations.

 


Q: I have noticed some features on the instructions page that my calculator doesn't have ,why is this?

A: The Fsc calculator has been updated and new features added since you downloaded yours:Free updates are available here.


Q: The click adjust does not operate on the highlit figure

A: A recognised snag:The click adjust needs initially setting up, to do this right click one of the increment or decrement mouse buttons to show the button message and then press a key ,the click adjust figure is now set to this figure , you can now use the configure calculator/set click adjust figure option if you wish to set the figure to any amount.


Q: Can the calculator be shown non-windowed

A: Yes: press ALT+ENTER simultaneously to convert to a non windowed screen and again to revert back to a windowed screen :nb: The calculator can be minimized while non-windowed by pressing the WINDOWS key.


Q:Is it ok to to alter the screen settings by clicking the c:\ icon at the top left hand corner of the windowed screen and selecting PROPERTIES/LAYOUT or FONTS

A:No: Do not alter these settings :altering these settings may cause the calculator to become non-responsive. The screen width/height and screen buffer sizes are set at 80 and 25: do not alter these settings:If the these settings are inadvertently altered you may need to restore the calculator settings.To do this firstly change the window settings back to 80 and 25:A back-up copy of the system settings is recorded every time the calculator is quit (CAPS-SHIFT+q) at c:\wfscalc\dltdfls\stgs.bas copy and paste this file to c:\wfscalc (you will need to click Yes when the overwrite caution dialogue box appears):re-run the calculator:If this does not resolve the problem contact support (you must be a registered user to access support)

nb:The window size can safely be altered with by using the mouse pointer on the screen edges.
